A Democrat, an Independent, and a Republican walk into a podcast to discuss the election, inauguration, dogma, heresy, and scientism.
Joel and Leo spent another afternoon with our Republican friend, Todd Johnson, on the day before the recent Inauguration of President Donald J. Trump. We focused on how Americans are talking past one other, and considered how the extremes of the Left and Right are tactically similar. The role of expertise in political policy underwent interrogation, opening up possible opportunities for common ground.
God Bless the algorithm!
Well worth the listen. Thank you for the effort that went into creating the format and meeting in the ring, as it were.
One subject comment: I was curious about Mr. Johnson's illustration regarding hiring of black coaches in the NFL. I Googled "percentage of black players in NFL" and was told it's 53.5%, not "around 80%" as I heard it said on the podcast.
Common ground. Weave community. Civil conversation. Onward!
