Why does the State of Oregon allow foreign contributions to its ballot measure campaigns? Have Oregon Democrats taken a position on this? How could this possibly be good?
There *are* liberal enclaves in Eastern Oregon...and lemme tell you about Boring, Sandy and Damascus when it comes to scary conservatives...I grew up in the conservative side of Eugene-Springfield, so I have no illusions about what it's like in this state.

One Wash state legislator has a somewhat more practical idea for splitting, which wouldn't require the utterly impossible Federal permission.

State-splitting is just vain, attention-seeking behavior. If someone wants to live in Idaho, they can and should stop whining, and move there.
