I recently had a question about not public policy but plant identification. I ignored the AI assist answer entirely. Of the top three answers, one was from the Penn State botany department. The other two were from sources I had never heard of. I went with the Penn State source.
I am shocked by how many of my friends will go to an AI chatbot as their first source to answer a question. Knowing what I do about the hallucination problem, I would never trust an AI engine to be the go-to source for information about anything.
I am a week deep into a thread with Google One tech support asking them to disable all AI features related to my account, so I can enjoy an ethical, AI-free experience with my (paid) product.
Thanks for spending the time to do research and admitting to some day drinking. :)
Thanks for all the feedback!

I truly hope that people start considering how they know what they know, how they learn what they learn.

How is it going? Shall we jump to E/OS and Murena or Proton together?
